She leads a tranquil life that is enlivened by the birth of her lovely twins. Until, one icy morning in 1943, everything changes. The Nazis arrest the Dubreuils, and Sidonie, “guilty” of being black, is deported along with her five year old sons. This is the beginning of a tragic odyssey: a crescendo of horror that ends in the furnaces of Mauthausen. A story of desperation and suffering.
