In Mussolini’s Rome, the Spanish Academy of History, Archaeology and Fine Arts must protect some refugees escaping from the Civil War, and, to raise money, the only solution is to sell some books in its precious library. The delicate negotiations are assigned to José María Hurtado de Mendoza, a scholar of Fascist architecture, and to the fascinating Montserrat Fabregas. Prince Junio Valerio Cima Vivarini, an important member of the Fascist Party, is immediately much too interested in a book from the 1500’s in which a mysterious document kept in the Vatican Libraries is mentioned. A map that contains a secret able to change the destiny of humanity, a map that the Church wishes to hide away for ever and which the Third Reich must have. At any cost...
